Hi all and welcome to The RV Corral blog. We will be updating this blog periodically to add updates of our lot, quick tips for different RV needs, fun experiences or places our customers recommend, and other random RVing specific content. If you'd like to see anything specific let us know through the contact us page! Enjoy our first quick blog with a quick checklist to get you ready for an RV trip!

Here is a checklist of things to consider before leaving on an RV trip:

  1. Plan your route and make reservations at campsites or RV parks along the way.
  2. Check the weather forecast for your destination and along your route.
  3. Check the tires on your RV and make sure they are properly inflated.
  4. Check the fluid levels in your RV, including oil, brake fluid, coolant, and windshield wiper fluid.
  5. Check the condition of your brakes and make sure they are functioning properly.
  6. Check the condition of your batteries and make sure they are fully charged.
  7. Test all of the appliances and systems in your RV, including the refrigerator, stove, water heater, and air conditioning.
  8. Stock up on supplies, including food, water, toilet paper, and any other necessary items.
  9. Make sure you have all of your documents, including your driver's license, registration for the RV, and any necessary permits or passes.
  10. Pack a first aid kit and make sure you have any necessary medications.
  11. Check the condition of your RV's hoses and make sure they are in good working order.
  12. Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and make sure they are working properly.

It's also a good idea to leave a copy of your itinerary and contact information with a trusted friend or family member, just in case you run into any issues on the road.

As always, The RV Corral is here to help if you find anything awry when going through this checklist, and we can also help you get prepared before long adventures.
